Communities In Schools of Milledgeville–Baldwin County (CISMBC) is a nonprofit that has been serving the students, schools, and community of Baldwin County for over 10 years.

Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

CISMBC provides tutoring services, food, clothing, mentorship programs, reading workshops, and so much more. Alongside over 100 other Communities In Schools affiliates, CISMBC offers a variety of services to students and communities across the United States.

Nationally, CIS serves close to 2,500 schools and over 1.5 million students. This kind of success is only made possible by the 40,000 volunteers and thousands of local partnerships who continue to serve their communities and support CIS.

CISMBC has seen meaningful progress as the team continues to implement school-based activities during this pandemic. Students have benefited from the unwavering support of the staff and volunteers at each school as well as services through the Bee Well Clinic. Students have also benefited from the virtual tutoring and the virtual reading library CISMBC has provided in response to the increased number of students participating in remote learning options.
